Samsung's New Foldable Lineup Hits All Three Major Carriers — Here's Where to Find the Best Deals

If you've been holding out for a new foldable, the wait is over: Samsung's latest generation is now available to order through Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, alongside unlocked options direct from Samsung. This release cycle brings a notable change to the lineup. Instead of two models, shoppers now have three foldables to choose between.
What's New in the Lineup
Samsung expanded its foldable family this round with the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8. The Ultra variant is the standout addition, aimed at power users who want to run multiple apps side by side, while the standard Fold8 is built more around media and screen real estate. The Flip8 keeps its compact form factor but adds a more capable cover screen that can handle quick AI-powered tasks without unfolding the phone.
Pre-orders began July 22, with retail availability starting August 7. Buyers can choose between 256GB and 512GB storage, and color options vary by model, spanning Lavender, Violet Shadow, Pink, Graphite, and Cream.
Starting Prices (256GB, Unlocked)
- Galaxy Z Flip8 - starts at $1,199.99
- Galaxy Z Fold8 - starts at $1,899.99
- Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra - starts at $2,099.99
* 512GB versions cost more across the board. Unlocked units are available directly from Samsung or through Best Buy in addition to carrier channels.
Carrier Availability
T-Mobile
Customers on Experience Beyond or Go5G Next plans can get up to $1,900 off the Z Fold8 or Z Fold8 Ultra with a qualifying trade-in. This is enough to make the standard Fold8 free and bring the Ultra down to roughly $200. The Z Flip8 can drop as low as $100 with a trade-in or new line on eligible plans.
AT&T
Offering a comparable structure, with up to $1,900 off the Fold8 Ultra for qualifying trade-ins and up to $1,000 off the Z Flip8.
Verizon
Also accepting pre-orders, with trade-in credits plus an extra $15/month discount for customers switching from another carrier.
Before You Buy
Nearly all of these carrier discounts arrive as bill credits spread across 24 to 36 months rather than an upfront reduction, meaning the savings are tied to staying on the plan and paying it off over time. Before committing, it's worth checking each carrier's specific trade-in requirements and plan eligibility, since the advertised "up to" savings only apply to the highest trade-in tiers.
