T-Mobile’s New U.S. Pass eSIM Gives Tourists a Simple Way to Connect

T-Mobile is rolling out a new prepaid option aimed at people visiting the United States and wanting phone service without the usual hassle. The carrier’s new U.S. Pass eSIM plans are built for short stays, letting travelers activate service digitally instead of dealing with a physical SIM card or paperwork.
As announced by T-Mobile, the new plans go live on May 18 and are meant for use across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. Each option comes with unlimited talk and text in those countries, plus unlimited 5G data in the U.S., though premium data is capped at 50GB per plan period.
T-Mobile is offering four versions of the pass. The 7-day plan costs $25 and includes 14GB of high-speed hotspot data in the U.S. The 10-day version costs $30 with 20GB of hotspot data, while the 14-day pass is priced at $35 and raises that to 28GB. Travelers who need service for longer can choose the 30-day pass for $50, which includes 50GB of high-speed hotspot data in the U.S. All four plans also include 5GB of high-speed data for use in Mexico and Canada.
What makes this launch notable is that T-Mobile is clearly going after short-term visitors who want a quick setup and enough data for maps, messaging, streaming, and hotspot use during a trip. The company is also bundling in extras like T-Mobile Tuesdays, dining rewards, and rental car discounts, which adds a few travel perks beyond just basic wireless service.
