Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network now covers “2 out of every 3 Americans”

Earlier this week, Verizon Wireless announced that its 5G Ultra Wideband network has reached a milestone– they now cover over 200 million people.

T-Mobile customers experienced a network outage this week

 

A few days ago, T-Mobile customers experienced an outage. While there were some customers who were unable to make calls or do basic functions on their phones, there were others who lost service completely. And some users on an iPhone 11 did not default to the emergency SOS satellite indicator that their device should. Instead, they simply lost service without any explanation.

Visible will help pay for your service after getting laid off

 

Visible, the Verizon-owned prepaid brand, recently partnered with a non-profit organization called Empower Work. The two have created a new social initiative program called Visible Impacts where they will help customers who were recently laid off. 

Metro by T-Mobile closing its corporate-owned stores

T-Mobile was reported to be in the process of shutting down its brick-and-mortar stores early this year. Following these reports, T-Mo’s Consumer Group President, Jon Freier, released a statement discussing this change. But now, another report says that corporate-owned Metro by T-Mobile stores will be affected by the closure too. 

New T-Mobile breach affects 37M customers

T-Mobile just faced a new security breach that left the information of 37 million users compromised. Thankfully, T-Mo assures its customers that none of their financial information was accessed by the hackers. 

Cox Mobile is now available throughout the US

At CES last week, a new mobile service was announced and is now live throughout the country. But prior to this launch, Cox Communications started offering its mobile service, Cox Mobile, in select areas for a test run. And now, the Verizon MVNO is fully available to the rest of the US.

T-Mobile has partnered with Delta Air Lines for an exciting offer for travelers.

According to its announcement, passengers on board select Delta Air Lines flights will have access to free Wi-Fi. The best part about this announcement is that the perk is available to AT&T and Verizon Wireless customers too. 

New York Governor signs Right to Repair bill into law

Just before 2022 ends, New York is the first US state to pass the right to repair bill into law. 

NY Governor, Kathy Hochul, earlier signed into law the bill for tech products. Unfortunately, there were amendments made to its fine print.
