Get to know more about T-Mobile’s Phone Freedom move

T-Mobile held a Phone Freedom event recently where it revealed its newest offerings. 

Mainly, the Un-carrier revealed three things: Go5G Plus, Easy Unlock, and Go Back Guarantee. There’s also the limited Essentials Savings plan offer that T-Mo unveiled at the event. Here are the new offers in more detail:

Customers on older Verizon unlimited plans got a price increase this week

Verizon Wireless made some changes to its older Unlimited plans this week. As revealed by PhoneArena, the affected plans are getting a $2 per month rate adjustment. 

Mint Mobile adds more data without raising prices

Mint Mobile customers, you’re in for a surprise! The T-Mobile MVNO is increasing the data allotment on its plans without raising their prices. 

Starting April 14, 2023, Mint Mobile’s plans will now look like this:

iPhone users on Google Fi now have access to 5G

Google Fi customers who are using an Apple iPhone device received some good news earlier this week. They can now connect to 5G on their devices instead of LTE. This means that they’ll have access to T-Mobile’s 5G network since Google Fi is a T-Mobile MVNO.

T-Mobile officially announces plans to acquire Mint Mobile, Ultra Mobile

After earlier reports came out, we’re finally getting confirmation on T-Mobile’s plans to acquire Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile. 

A few days ago, T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert made the announcement official. The executive talked about their plans to acquire Mint Mobile, Ultra Mobile and Plum. Sievert appeared in a video with one of Mint Mobile’s owners, actor Ryan Reynolds.

Earlier this week, Verizon Wireless announced that its 5G Ultra Wideband network has reached a milestone– they now cover over 200 million people.

T-Mobile customers experienced a network outage this week

 

A few days ago, T-Mobile customers experienced an outage. While there were some customers who were unable to make calls or do basic functions on their phones, there were others who lost service completely. And some users on an iPhone 11 did not default to the emergency SOS satellite indicator that their device should. Instead, they simply lost service without any explanation.
