The Kyocera Hydro Icon is a rugged Android smartphone that comes with a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display, a 540x960p resolution and 245ppi index. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM and the Adreno 305 GPU. There is a built-in memory of 8GB with a microSD card that can expand the memory by up to 32GB. The device is built with an 8MP rear-facing camera with autofocus and 1080p HD video capture. A secondary camera in front of the device is available with a 2MP sensor. The Hydro Icon gets up to 14 hours of talk time and 8 days in standby mode, thanks to a removable Li-Ion 2000mAh battery. Upon unboxing, the phone runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. It has received IP57 rating for its dust and water resistance, IPX7 for snorkeling underwater, and a military standard 810G for shocks and drops.
