Instagram has added two new photo editing tools to its mobile app for Android, and soon on the iOS platform: Color and Fade tools. The Color tool allows users to adjust the tone of both the highlights and shadows of the images they took, thereby enabling them to infuse a different cast of light to achieve that moody, atmospheric effect. The Fade tool, on the other hand, allows users to wash out colors entirely, letting them produce a more muted effect (in various intensity levels) akin to low-fi prints.

AT&T is taking its ultra-speedy gigabit broadband service and bringing it to the city of Cupertino in the state of California. Tumblr Updates Its Mobile App With New Buttons

Microblogging platform Tumblr recently updated its mobile app to enable users to buy or provide funding for products and campaigns on other websites, including Kickstarter and Etsy's online marketplace. 

 

Specifically, Tumblr is adding a "Buy," a "Pledge," and a "Get Involved" button to its mobile app for Android and iOS users. These buttons will be displayed at the bottom part of posts that link to Kickstarter, Etsy, and DoSomething.org. The buttons will also appear on Tumblr's dashboard. The Buy button will also show the price of the product.

 

Verizon and AT&T Sue Over Net Neutrality

February was an historic month for internet users as the Federal Communications Commission ended a long battle with internet service providers over stricter internet regulation. According to the FCC, the newly passed rules will finally allow for net neutrality. This will deny service providers such as Comcast or Time Warner from discriminating what runs through their cables. The FCC adds that the new ruling will allow equal opportunity for internet speeds and access to websites for all customers.
