Instagram Snaps Will Now Show In Your Tinder Profile

Instagram Snaps Will Now Show In Your Tinder Profile

Tinder is now integrating your Instagram account, plus your Facebook account. This means that potential dates who view your Tinder profile can now see the latest photos you have posted on Instagram.

Tinder is considered one of the most popular dating apps existing today. The app basically simplifies dating decisions into simple yes or no by presenting you with photos of potential dates and letting you swipe right if you dig them, or swipe left if you think they're just not your type. If the person you swiped right also does the same to your photo, you can chat with each other through instant message within the mobile app. Additional photos and shared interests and hobbies are also retrieved from your Facebook account.

Before, some users already display their Instagram handles in their Tinder profiles. But now, it is shown by default. If you decide to tie in your Tinder account with your Instagram account, the newest 34 photos from your Instagram account will be shown on your Tinder profile, which means other Tinder users will be able to see your selfies, the last dessert you had, or the things you love doing in your free time.

Tinder previously used your Facebook account to retrieve pictures and common interests, which include similar things you liked on Facebook. But now, your Tinder profile will also show everything you ever liked on Facebook, but highlighting the things you liked in common with a potential date, and also, in the process letting you see things your potential date likes but you don't. Lastly, you will be able to ascertain whether you have common friends or common friends of friends.

According to Sean Rad, co-founder and president of Tinder, this latest batch of enhancements to the app is only the first of many steps in continuously improving Tinder in the hope of making the matchmaking process more efficient and more fun. The trick is in getting people to start a conversation with each other, and the integration with Instagram and Facebook certainly gives them a better glimpse of who their potential dates are.

The new enhancements are now available in the free version of the Tinder mobile app. Tinder Plus, which is the paid version of the app, lets you provide information on your location, and then browse potential dates in other regions worldwide. Plus, it the paid version also comes with undo capabilities, just in case you left-swiped your soulmate. Oddly enough, the paid version of the Tinder app costs more for users over 30 years old (28 in some regions).
