International Channels on Satellite TV

Both Dish Network and DIRECTV have been expanding their offerings of international programming options. International packages are priced on a monthly basis and usually require the purchase of a basic programming package to get promotional pricing for the equipment needed to receive international programming. Also note that DIRECTV and Dish Network only offer these services to addresses within the United States.

Overview of Current International Promotions

This is a basic outline of how to get the equipment needed for international at no additional cost:

Dish Network: Two ways -- 1) Subscribe to a qualifying international base package or 2) Subscribe to any other international package with a monthly cost of $29.98 or higher plus America's Top 100 or higher (a).

DIRECTV: Purchase an international package along with a qualifying basic programming package. Note that DIRECTV has created two special basic packages, starting at $9.99, that are only available to those seeking international programming (b).
