About this Plan
The T-Mobile Simple Choice Prepaid Plan is a prepaid individual or family cell phone plan offered by T-Mobile that offers unlimited data, minutes, and text messaging, and does not require a contract. T-Mobile also allows customers on this plan to receive a phone for little to no down payment, and then pay off the phone over 24 months with small monthly payments.
This plan also offers unlimited data (for email, browsing the web, downloads, video, and more) available as separate add-ons to the plan. There are three tiers of data plans which are listed below. Data speeds are throttled after your 4G data limit is reached.
- 3GB of 4G LTE data
- 5GB of 4G LTE data
- 10GB of 4G LTE data
Unlike other carriers, however, T-Mobile will not charge overage fees when customers surpass their monthly data allotment. Instead, the data the customer receives after the threshold is met is slowed down. The T-Mobile Simple Choice Prepaid Plan also offers everyone on the plan unlimited calling from the USA to international landlines in over 70 countries around the world for $5 per month. For $10 per month, all members of the plan get unlimited calling to mobile phones in more than 30 countries, and 1,000 minutes to cell phones in Mexico, and this includes the landline calling to 70+ countries worldwide.
T-Mobile now offers a bonus called Mobile Without Borders which allows Simple Choice Prepaid subscribers to use their phone in Canada and Mexico just like they would in the United States, at no additional charge for calls, texts, or data.
Simple Choice Prepaid customers can also take advantage of Data Stash on the Simple Choice Prepaid 6GB plans and up, which allows them to rollover unused high-speed data for use in the next month, and the data gets banked in a customers account for up to a year.
T-Mobile JUMP On Demand
T-Mobile also features a program they call JUMP that offers customers the opportunity to upgrade to a new smartphone up to three times per year. You can upgrade to a new phone for $0 down and pay no sales tax if you have qualifying credit, and then pay for the new cell phone over monthly payments. To upgrade, bring in your existing phone, show that it still in good working condition, and then get your new phone.

This plan allows customers to call other T-Mobile customers at no additional charge, as long as they are in the United States.
Binge On
This plan offers Binge On, which allows customers to stream unlimited video from a variety of services such as Netflix, YouTube, HBO NOW, Hulu, and many more without it counting towards your data limit.
Unlimited Music Streaming Services via Music Freedom
This plan allows customers to enjoy unlimited music streaming with apps such as Apple Music, Pandora, iHeartRadio, Rhapsody, Slacker, Spotify, Milk Music, and more, and the data used to stream these services does not count against your 4G LTE data limit.
Free Roaming and Long Distance in the United States
The plan offers unlimited free roaming and long distance calling to long distance numbers in the United States, as long as the customer is also in the United States.
