Unlocked Cell Phones      

Although generally much more expensive than phones purchased with service, unlocked phones can be a flexible alternative for many people. Available only for GSM technology, an unlocked phone is one that is not tied (or locked) to a single carrier's network. An unlocked phone is one where you can swap out the SIM card, which is the 'brain' of the phone. This can be useful for those traveling overseas or those who frequently swap out their phone to always have the latest and greatest model.
