IMPROVED HOUSTON CELLULAR WEB SITE ENDS RATE PLAN CONFUSION
HOUSTON, Dec. 6, 2000-November marks the unveiling of Houston Cellular's revamped Web site, redesigned to increase customer satisfaction and help put an end to wireless phone rate plan confusion.
The popular "Best Rate Plan for You" calculator, developed by MyRatePlan.com (www.myrateplan.com) has been enhanced and Houston Cellular is one of the first wireless companies to go live with this software on its Internet site. The software quickly guides a prospect to the best Houston Cellular plan by collecting specific inputs on how the consumer plans to use the phone. MyRatePlan.com's powerful CellCalc software performs in excess of 100 calculations on each Houston Cellular plan to come up with those plans that best fit the customer's exact needs.
"So many wireless phone customers are on the wrong rate plan and paying too much for service or not getting the service they need," said Cindy Hinebaugh, director of Customer Operations at Houston Cellular. The new look of the Web site, modeled after the new store design, enhances Houston Cellular's image with a more consistent look and feel. Interactive features were added including a new section called "Manage Your Account," which allows customers to request modifications to their account, pay with E-bill, and request optional services. Also available is a Special Promotions section where customers can check on special events or offerings. In addition, a Press Room provides access to news releases, logos, media information, as well as current community relations information and a downloadable community event sponsorship form.
"The additions and enhancements have been designed to offer better service and convenience to our customers and we hope that they will make the Web site their first stop when looking for information," said Hinebaugh.
