MyRatePlan.com Launches Price Comparison Site for Consumer Network Services
Site includes cutting edge wireless rate calculator and first of its kind interactive tool for managing wireless accounts
MyRatePlan.com, LLC, an Atlanta-based cybermediary, announces the launch of its web site at http://www.myrateplan.com. The site houses the most sophisticated and comprehensive rate calculator for wireless plans available anywhere on the Internet. This software is the first in a series of unbiased tools that MyRatePlan will launch in the upcoming months to help consumers better navigate the purchase of a variety of network-driven services.

Visitors to the MyRatePlan.com web site can answer a short series of questions about their wireless usage. This survey, which takes 3-5 minutes to complete, is then applied against the proprietary calculator, which analyzes over 30 elements, and completes more than 100 calculations for each wireless rate plan available for sale in the user's home market area. MyRatePlan has the only online calculator that takes all of the following into consideration:
- Where people use their wireless phones (national vs. regional vs. local)
- Whether a bundled weekend package, when available, is a wise purchase
- The impact of the carrier's policy on rounding calls to the next minute or next second
- The impact of first incoming minute free, where available
- Whether it is more beneficial to buy a plan that bundles long distance and roaming or to keep those on a pay-as-you-go basis
MyRatePlan's software then calculates the 5 best plans for the user, and estimates a monthly bill for wireless service…to the penny.
Additionally, the site offers "MyWirelessManager", a unique toolkit that will send e-mail notification to remind users when their wireless contract is about to expire, so they can retrieve their best pricing options at the exact time they are needed. Another feature will automatically alert the user when a better priced option becomes available in the market.
