Description:

The world’s third largest phone manufacturer has returned with a new product to boot—the Huawei Ascend Mate 2. It comes as the predecessor to the Ascend Mate, which has been recognized as the phone with the largest battery. Returning to the smartphone market, the Ascend Mate 2 bears a phablet size screen just like its predecessor—a 6.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a ppi count of 241; along with the same 4050mAh battery. For the second iteration of the device, Huawei has equipped the Ascend Mate 2 with a thinner frame at 9.5mm, and a faster processor. The Ascend Mate 2 runs on a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 305 GPU. It has an internal storage of 16GB, with a microSD card slot provision to expand the memory up to 64GB. The phone has a couple of cameras—a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter. The device runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS and is available in either Pure White or Crystal Black color options.
