Samsung Galaxy On5, Galaxy Tab E Now On T-Mobile

Samsung Galaxy On5, Galaxy Tab E Now On T-Mobile

T-Mobile has teamed up with Samsung in order to debut a couple of new Galaxy mobile devices -- the Galaxy On5 smartphone and the Galaxy Tab E tablet. Both devices come with budget friendly prices, and should help in giving subscribers of T-Mobile a more expanded range of device choices that are affordable.

The Galaxy On5 smartphone is coming to both T-Mobile and MetroPCS, a prepaid subsidiary of the major US wireless carrier. The Galaxy On5 is ideal for those who want to keep their spending low, while at the same time, looking to own a device that is not too bad, specs wise (more on that later). The device is offered at $140 outright, or for $0 down and $5.83 each for a period of 24 months (two years). At MetroPCS, the Galaxy On5 is offered at $129, but it should be noted that the device will end up with a $59 price tag after a $70 instant rebate is applied.

Now on to the specifications -- the Galaxy On5 smartphone comes with a 5 inch display screen with a resolution of 1,280 by 720 pixels. This is paired with a rather modest 5 megapixel camera (with an LED flash) on the rear side, as well as a 2 megapixel camera on the front side. With regards to hardware specs, the Galaxy On5 is fitted with Samsung’s own Exynos 1.3 Gigahertz four core chip set, supported with 1.5 gigabytes of random access memory (RAM) as well as 8 gigabytes of built in memory. The device also packs a 2,600 mAh battery, and is powered by Android 6.0.01 Marshmallow, with Samsung’s TouchWiz software.

The Galaxy Tab E tablet may sound familiar to some. T-Mobile is certainly not the first major US wireless carrier to sell the tablet device. As a matter of fact, industry leader Verizon Wireless has had the Galaxy Tab E tablet for several months now. Still, it is never too late for T-Mobile to start offering the affordable tablet to its own subscribers, too. Starting on June 22nd this year, the Galaxy Tab E is offered at $240, or for $0 down and $10 each month for a period of 24 months on any one of T-Mobile’s plans.

Measuring 8 inches, the Galaxy Tab E has a display screen that features a resolution fo 1,280 by 800 pixels. On the rear side and front side are a 5 megapixel camera as well as a 2 megapixel camera. Inside its frame, the Galaxy Tab E is equipped with a Samsung Exynos 1.3 GigaHertz quad core process, and armed with 16 gigabytes of onboard memory, plus a micro SD card slot for expanding storage space.
